However... that soon is "soon" in university terms... First year at Dalhousie in Halifax, NS. Lovin every minute... and swamped every second.

Sorry for the inactivity. I've been focusing on my real life photography and all the other real life things going on around me. All good, of course. Loads going on, keeping myself busy and feeling great.

I'm working on a new portfolio piece in a course I'm taking at NSCAD. It's in colour and black and white. Mostly black and white because it's cheaper. lol
And quicker...

Anyways, it's an industrial piece. Focusing on Tonka trucks and Caterpillar construction machines; stuff that people consider to not be very aesthetically pleasing, or pleasing at all, and finding some beautiful parts of them. It's a whole lot of fun to photograph. In fact, I think I've found one of the areas what I truly love in photography. This industrial twist has been inspired by the works of Edward Burtynski. A Canadian photographer who made the movie and book called "Manufactured Landscapes." Amazing stuff.

I'll be working on an artist statement to go with my portfolio, and I'm working a little harder to get all of my work into digital form so it can come onto dA and you'll see the artist statement to go with it here in this journal!

I've been shooting this piece with my new/old Mamiya C330 which has been a DREAM to work with. I'm really loving this photography business.

I'm so excited right now!
My Art Director mentor for the music video I made this summer with Curve Productions Inc. for Red1 asked to see my portfolio on Nov 12th! We're just chillin, but she wants to see my work and see if she can get me some work with the company she's working with now!
Isn't that amazing!? Holy crow! I'm so pumped, I'm pretty much growing ulcers as we speak!

Also, I have a final project for my colour photography class due in TWO WEEKS! Holy crow, I only have one photo done for it and I dunno if I have enough time and if the shots I want are going to work! It'll be a one shot game, let's hope I can make it!!

Finally, I'm being FEATURED in an art show in Halifax for a group I'm involved in called Leave Out Violence! I'll give you guys more details as they come to me but I'm just so excited for it all! I'm just... peeing my pants this week, I'm consumed with photography, LOVE, art director mentor, and and and... dude! I'm just so excited in general!

Heyo guys, so sorry I've been so inactive for the past... really long while. I still have a couple of other photos that I should post sometime, but I've been working on my Certificate in Photography at NSCAD with my Colour Photography course. I've been doing a lot of photos in the dark room and stuff, so it's a bit more of an effort to scan and such... especially with Math 12 Adv and Chem 11 on my ass for homework all the time. lol

So, I'll be active again sometime. I'm also rather annoyed I didn't buy more film, because there's a beautiful effect with the sun and clouds and it has been lingering for a long time... so I think it's just shoving it in my face that I can't take pictures of it right now... LOL!
